Question:
Could you send post for free by using return to sender?

Recently watched Dave Gorman's Genius on the BBC and there was a suggestion that you could effectively send post for free by writing a fake address on the front of the envelope without including a stamp, and then putting "If undelivered please return to:" and then the real address you want to send the mail to on the back.

Just wondering if this would actually work, or if not what actually happens to mail in post boxes which does not have the correct amount of stamps on? Thanks

Hello; Good Day!

Well I am surprised to see your intentions, dear. Yes, you may be successful in sending a post by puting a fake address.

But, that is NOT ethical at all. If you are inculcating this type of fake and false deeds at your age - I wonder, in near future you will be treated by your friends to be a 'fraud and/or cheat'.

PLZ do not ever think to cheat any person or any organization. this will become a charater trait in your self. I am sure, you want to be highly respected and trusted by all in near future- don't you???

EDIT

Dear Brother/Sister;

Sorry, it is my mistake. I must have just overviewed your narration re BBC story. It was 100% my mistake, in my mind I was in the opinion that you asked if you could post an unstamped envelop with fake address on.

I usually read all Qs thoroughly b4 answering. I don't know dear how I made such a BIG mistake and hurt your feelings. PLZ forgive me dear.

Now, I would say that ONE shouldn't try to send a letter Like Dave suggested. It's cheating the Government - I am sure you will agree with me,

It relies upon on the sellers circumstances whether you get loose postage on returns,now and back with defective products the service provider is of an identical opinion to refund postage.Ive in simple terms had to return a defective merchandise to China which value £17 & no return of postage substitute into given. in case you in simple terms return the products as return to Sender you're able to discover the article is decrease back decrease back to you & you will lose you funds you paid for the products etc.

Sounds very possible because when by accident you do forget stamp, they do send it back to you. I would try it with something bogus first and see if it works
